Mike McDermott

President

Mike McDermott serves as President of InquisIT. In this role, he is responsible for advancing the business by defining corporate strategy, and being the driving force behind business development and contract operations. Mr. McDermott comes to InquisIT with both military and private industry experience. Prior to joining InquisIT, Mr. McDermott was President of Phacil, CEO of ATA, and has run small consulting firms. He also held positions at Titan Systems, Carley Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).  Success in driving operational excellence eventually led to his promotions into the executive ranks.

While in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. McDermott worked in Signals Intelligence Communications and Security with tours in Guantanamo Bay, Camp Lejeune and Headquarters Marine Corps. As a contractor, he held positions including; Director of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Integrated Systems Training Center (MISTC), Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert for the Marine Corps, Information Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security, Security Engineer for Missile Defense Agency, and Information Security Manager at the National Security Agency.

In his leisure time, Mike is a family man who also enjoys weight-lifting and riding motorcycles.  At each of the companies where he has served in a senior leadership role, Mike has organized community and charitable programs that center on issues that impact the company and employees, as well as activities that support for veterans, children, and dog rescue organizations.

David Storey

Chief Technology Officer

David Storey serves as InquisIT’s Chief Technology Officer. In this capacity, David is the visionary behind the solutions that InquisIT delivers to its customers. He is passionate about technology and takes pride in staying abreast of new and emerging technology trends. He directly consults with Federal CIOs on the purchase and implementation of technology as well as improving their operations. Dave also regularly updates InquisIT’s demonstration center and uses it as a means for both employees and customers to obtain hands-on experience with the capabilities of leading edge solutions.

Mr. Storey comes to inquisIT with nearly 20 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, database management and application development. Prior to joining inquisIT, David was Deputy Chief Engineer at SuperteK. There, he was the primary engineer for the Joint Operations Command Center – Washington Metro Police Department supporting major events including Presidential Inaugurations, Concerts, major holidays and speeches. Before that time, he held the position of Director of Architecture at Ikimbo and EYEO where he implemented a subscriber-based content management and delivery systems as well as oversaw security of corporate and client infrastructures. Mr. Storey possesses the keen ability to envision how to use technology to drive efficiencies for InquisIT’s customers. He leverages his breadth of knowledge across the technology spectrum to ensure that InquisIT’s customers recognize the full potential of their IT investment.

Dave loves to travel with his wife who is a nationally rated volleyball scorekeeper.  He is a photographer, bikes, and supports local musicians and his church as the sound engineer.  Mr. Storey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from George Mason University.

Madelyne D’Angelo

VP, Human Resources

Madelyne D’Angelo is the Vice President of Operations at InquisIT. Ms. D’Angelo has more than 17 years of experience in human resources including a decade supporting the government sector. At InquisIT, she is responsible for organizational strategy and people management for the IT company’s rapidly growing, dedicated team of employees.

Most recently, Ms. D’Angelo served as managing director of Helios HR, a human capital consulting firm, and vice president of human resources for CRGT, Inc., a leading expert in emerging technology solutions for the federal government. Previously, she was vice president of human resources administration for L-3 STRATIS, one of the largest divisions of global defense leader L-3. She has additional human resource experience with IXI Corporation, a market analysis firm based in McLean, Va., and the City of Pittsburgh.

Ms. D’Angelo has a passion for building and growing organizations, both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. She has extensive expertise in process implementation, automation, and systems management.

Ms. D’Angelo earned a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Ms. D’Angelo is an active volunteer in the community. She also enjoys fitness, cooking, and spending leisure time with her two sons.

Megan Mahoney
Megan Mahoney

Vice President, Finance

Megan Mahoney serves as the vice president of accounting, finance, and contracts at InquisIT where she is responsible for all financial operations and contractual matters. A well-rounded senior accounting leader, Ms. Mahoney brings to InquisIT over 15 years of experience in supporting federal and commercial contracts, financial management, general ledger review and implementation, risk management, analysis, modeling, financial operations, and ERP and accounting systems management.

Prior to joining InquisIT, Megan served in management-level positions for various government contracting firms, including Corporate Controller at Germane Systems where she supervised and mentored all accounting staff, managed over 100 supplier/vendor relationships, and supervised and managed a lending relationship. Before that time, Ms. Mahoney was a Senior Financial Analyst at Dynamics Research Corporation, responsible for government rate modeling, forecasting indirect expenses for functional areas, approving all purchases and hires, and analysis and reporting of all financial data. Ms. Mahoney was also the Assistant Controller at High Performance Technologies, Inc. and participated in the transition of financial and other responsibilities associated with acquisition of the company by Dynamics Research Corporation.

Ms. Mahoney has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, from James Madison University. She also holds certified public accountant credentials in Virginia. Ms. Mahoney’s leisure time is spent with her husband and son. They enjoy boating, fishing, and Redskins games through football season.

Carlton Florin
Carlton Florin

Director, Solutions

Carl Florin is the Director of Solutions at InquisIT. In this role, he is responsible for managing the business development, capture, and proposal processes for InquisIT, to include customer meetings, research, solution development, and review. Mr. Florin brings 15 years of technical and program management experience to the company. For the last 10 years, Mr. Florin has overseen Department of Justice and Department of Commerce programs, and corporate quality and process initiatives with CMMI and ISO certifications

Before being assigned the Special Projects role at InquisIT, Carl led several technology teams tasked with modernizing and maintaining complex information systems across the Department of Justice – CONUS and OCONUS. While in this role, Mr. Florin established work plans, coordinated efforts between headquarters and regional staff, coached field teams of technicians, administrators, and engineers, and communicated activities through trip deliverables and status reports. Prior to working for InquisIT, Mr. Florin worked for Datatrac Information Services as a trainer and deployment technician.

Throughout his tenure, Carl has worked closely with InquisIT’s program managers and executive leadership team to deliver value to our federal customers and the American public.

Mr. Florin has a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He also holds an impressive list of certifications, including PMP, CMMI, ITIL v3, and Citrix.

When not engaged with customers or InquisITeers, Mr. Florin spends time with his family, enjoying live music, sports, reading, and travel.

InquisIT "Top Dog" and Culture Coordinator

Cash comes to InquisIT from outside San Antonio, TX by way of the Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. He was found as a stray after the Hurricanes in 2017 and managed to board a vehicle to Northern Virginia for Adoption. 

In Arlington, after meeting the McDermott family, there was no turning back. Cash is now the InquisIT “Top Dog” and official Culture Coordinator, improving morale with just his presence. He greets all guests with a curious smile and a sniff; and he makes rounds throughout the day, saying hello to everyone he sees. Cash changes sighs into smiles. He is an InquisITeer crowd-pleaser!

On the home front, Cash has been dating Roxy for some time but is just not ready to commit!
