Mike McDermott is responsible for advancing the business, defining corporate strategy, and driving excellence in business development and contract operations.  In his first 12 months with InquisIT, Mr. McDermott substantially increased profitability as well as achieved over $28 Million in new contract wins growing the company by nearly 40%.

Mr. McDermott came to InquisIT with both military and private industry experience. Prior to joining the company, Mr. McDermott was CEO of ATA LLC, a data analytics, program, and intelligence support firm.  During his brief tenure there, Mr. McDermott achieved 20% growth as well as attained GSA schedules, positioning the company to propose on increased federal opportunities.

Before ATA, Mr. McDermott was President of Phacil.  Mr. McDermott started as the 4th employee of Phacil and left over 11 years later with the title of President and revenues of nearly $150 Million.  During his tenure at Phacil, Mr. McDermott’s responsibilities spanned oversight of headquarter operations, contract operations, and Business Development and Marketing.  Mr. McDermott also served in technical and program management roles at Titan Systems, Carley Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). 

Prior to entering the federal contracting arena, Mr. McDermott was an enlisted Marine.  While in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. McDermott worked in Signals Intelligence Communications and Security with tours in Guantanamo Bay, Camp Lejeune and Headquarters Marine Corps. As a contractor, he held positions including; Director of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Integrated Systems Training Center (MISTC), Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert for the Marine Corps, Information Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security, Security Engineer for Missile Defense Agency, and Information Security Manager at the National Security Agency.
